What this resource offers

HCG is an AIC monthly cash-support scheme for eligible families caring at home for a person with moderate to severe disability. AIC sets nationality, residence, means-testing and assessment conditions, with routes for a parent or guardian to apply for a child. Start by reading the current criteria, arrange the applicable assessment and use eFASS or ask AIC about a hard-copy route. Confirm functional-assessment and household-document requirements before applying.

Helpful questions for your next conversation

  • Does our family member’s support profile require a FAR or a CAF for HCG?
